He has toured with Mike Marshall, David Grisman, Bela Fleck, Jerry Douglas, and Bruce Molsky. Alex performs and tours regularly with singer/multi-instrumentalist, Sarah Jarosz, appearing on her two critically acclaimed albums, Song Up In Her Head and Follow Me Down (Sugar Hill Records), as well as being featured on her Grammy-nominated instrumental, Mansinneedof. Alex's debut album Prelude, released on Adventure Music in 2010, features Bela Fleck, Mike Marshall, Noam Pikelny, Grant Gordy and Paul Kowert.
